GO3 - The Final Day

Well GO3 has drawn to a close for the second year and what a great time I had! Meeting all the Entropia Ambassadors and other Entropia Players from around Australia, namely: Deathifier, Mulga, Shaz, Bagman, Missa, Ozi, Xaph, TimUnleashed, Vantastic and more, as well as meeting them, it was also good getting outta my comfort zone.

Blew a bit of money on drones and argonauts while showing my fellow aussies the game, Had quite a few interested people walk away with a client dvd, hopefully we'll see them ingame at some point

Big thanks to Southern Fortress Engineering for providing supplies for the stand at the Expo, attracting customers and for the wonderful T-shirts that we were provided with towards the end Coincidently, If you're ever in need of some crafted hunting armour, look them up, you won't regret it

Big thanks to all who turned up and an especially big thanks to MindArk for choosing the GO3 convention in Perth, rather than one of the game conventions in Sydney or Melbourne I suggested earlier

Anyhoo, didn't take too many pictures, though I did make a start on a new dance video, with a to be announced title.

GO3 - The first true day

Ahh, on the setup day we of course set up the Entropia Universe stand, though due to unforseen circumstances the desktop computers didn't arrive till today, the official first day of the expo, which meant we had to use our laptops, which may or may not have been up to the task.

The desktop computers did finally arrive... BUT! They had the wrong graphics cards, They had to be taken back and exchanged, which they were, only 1.5gb of RAM short...

2 of the desktops have ongoing problems with power distribution, but by the third day this seemed to have resolved itself...

We've also had a few network connection problems as well, but they were fixed quite rapidly by the local IT guy.

GO3 Schedule

The schedule is ready for my fellow EU Ambassadors:

July 31st:
- Setup begins sometime after 11am, finishes 10pm at the latest.
- Registration takes place during the day, you get a wristband, don’t remove it!
- Group dinner will take place that night, probably around 6-7pm.
- Suggestions on where to go (there’s 7 of us) are welcome.

August 1st:
- Day starts just after 8am, ends at 8pm, we leave before 9pm.
- The Hon Sheila McHale MLA, Minister for Culture and the Arts will be delivering the opening address at 8:30am, there's maybe some snacks after, and the media will be roaming around.
- If you did not make it to the stand on the 31st, we'll get you registered in the morning.
- Exhibitors Function, more information will come.

August 2nd:
- Day starts just after 9am, ends at 6pm, we leave before 7pm.

August 3rd:
- Day starts just after 9am, expo closes at 6pm, and we leave when the stand is packed.
- We start dismantling the stand after 6pm.

GO3 Next Week

The Anticipation is setting in as GO3 arrives for its second year. As the previous year, it is being hosted at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

I look forward to meeting them as well as anyone else who turns up. I also plan on making some videos and taking photos during the event and uploading them to my blog so all can view them.

Think of it as Second Life and World of Warcraft combined, with elements from other games thrown in for effect. Applied to be an EU Ambassador for the GO3 Expo

Recently I applied to be an EU Ambassador for the GO3 Expo in Perth, Australia between the 1 - 3 of August 2008. I hope I'm one of the lucky people who gets chosen I also hope the photo I sent them was OK, I may have sent the wrong one , But I'm not going to worry about that.

If I'm not chosen to be an Ambassador, I'll head along to the expo anyway and see if I can chat with some of the people there, maybe even score some freebies.

But I've got a while to wait, A couple of months at least. Time does tend to fly when you're having fun
